data.gis.ny.gov

The official New York State GIS Clearinghouse is where you go when a project needs real ground truth — parcel lines, zoning context, topography, environmental layers — all downloadable and free. It isn't pretty, but it's the kind of quiet, authoritative data source that makes a site analysis defensible.

fred.stlouisfed.org

FRED is the Federal Reserve's public data library — a sober, authoritative source for the economic indicators that quietly shape housing markets, construction costs, and interest rates. It is not a design site, but for architects and real estate professionals who want primary-source numbers rather than headlines, it is the reference standard.

ssb.no

Norway's official statistics bureau, and a quietly essential reference for anyone working with housing, construction, or property data in the Nordics. It won't inspire a facade, but it will tell you exactly how many dwellings were built, what they cost, and who's moving in — the factual bedrock behind good briefs and feasibility studies.
